HELLO FROM OSCAR, LUCIA, AYELEN AND VIYELA FERNANDEZ TO ALL THEIR FRIENDS EVERYWHERE

In the begining of June 1996 , I was in Antigua Guatemala and I saw a four-wheel drive with Argentine license plates. Curiosity got the best of me and at the third hotel that I asked about the vehicle, I found the owner, Oscar Fernandez. This is what I found out...

On April 4th 1996 Oscar started out from Ushuaia, Patagonia
in Argentina. He is traveling with his wife Lucia and their two daughters (in their twenties), Ayelén and Viyela. They plan on continuing to Anchorage, Alaska. The voyage north was on the Pacific slope of South America and the west coast of the U.S. The return trip is expected to take them to the east coast of the United States down to Florida and from there they plan to ship out to the northeastern part of Brazil and drive back to Argentina on the Atlantic coast of South America.

Oscar and his family promised to try to get in touch with me again and I asked them if they could jot down some notes that I could later put on the Internet. So, if things work out, I hope that we all can share some of their adventures. Meanwhile, I promised to tell all their friends, and the people that they met, that they are well and enjoying the trip.
