Living accommodations - transportation
students on weekend visit to the Tikal ruins in the middle of the tropical
rainforest
LIVING ACCOMMODATIONS
While our students are in the school, they may choose to live in hotels
of which there are a variety of categories and prices in Antigua. However,
we recommend living with a Guatemalan family because the students can practice
their Spanish as well as learn about our culture and customs.
We offer this kind of living accommodation for our students to be in a total
immersion program and to get the most out of their learning experience.
When we greet you at the airport or in Antigua, at this time we can place
you with a family. Our families are located downtown, near the school, between
one and nine blocks from the central building.
Students that choose to live with a family will have a private room with
three meals a day, Monday through Saturday. It is better to bring personal
items, including a towel. The family will provide you with blankets and
sheets.
CLM looks after our student's well-being, if you are not comfortable
in one family, we will move you to another.
TRANSPORTATION
CLM offers transportation from the airport to Antigua or Antigua to the
airport at your request. We only need to know the flight information before
you arrive. This service is very safe and the best way to come to Antigua
if it is the first time you are traveling here.
The moment you arrive, the driver will bring you directly to the school
where the Director will inform you about the school, the family and all
the information that you need. After this meeting, he will introduce you
to your Guatemalan family.
It is not a problem if our students arrive early in the morning, late at
night, during holidays or weekends. We still send our driver to pick them
up.
